WHY THIS SUMMIT?

What does it mean to be seen if we are not protected? If our communities remain underfunded, displaced, and excluded from the very systems meant to support us? It is clear that recognition without rights, representation without resources, and visibility without systemic change are not enough.

This year, on Trans Day of Visibility, we are shifting the conversation. We're bringing together trans leaders, policymakers, organizers, and community members to move beyond visibility and toward power, strategy, and action. This is a moment to build collective strength, to demand the protections and resources our communities deserve, and to hold those in power accountable for the policies that impact our daily lives.

This is a moment for bold organizing, radical imagination, and concrete solutions.

Meet Our Host & ED

Toni-Michelle Williams is an award-winning Black trans leader, organizer, artist, and the Executive Director of SnapCo (Solutions Not Punishment Collaborative). For over a decade, she has been at the forefront of the fight for Black trans liberation, community safety, and policy change, using her voice to challenge criminalization, state violence, and economic injustice. As a cultural strategist and movement architect, she has led transformative campaigns that have shifted the landscape for Black trans and queer people in Atlanta and beyond.

Beyond policy and advocacy, Toni-Michelle is also deeply committed to building Black trans leadership, fostering healing spaces, and creating art that centers Black trans joy and resistance. Under her leadership, SnapCo has redefined community-based safety strategies and led groundbreaking initiatives addressing policing, housing, and economic justice. Whether on the frontlines of organizing or shaping the cultural narrative, Toni-Michelle’s work continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible for Black trans futures.
